Later this month, T-Mobile could possibly be unveiling its new contract-free system. It’s been rumored that the company might reveal its plans as early as March 4th, and enact them on the 24th of March. This news would signal moving customers off of contracts as they expire as well as removing early termination fees, while also expanding the company’s monthly options that separate the price of a plan from the cost of a device. Additionally, T-Mobile could also offer a price installment plan to reduce the shock of buying off-contract phones. Reportedly, T-Mobile will try to offer all of their phones with a down payment option of $99 or less, and then have customers make additional payments of either $25 to $30 to their monthly bills until the phones are paid for.

In late December, T-Mobile announced that it would begin selling Apple products as well as moving away from traditional contract-based subsidies. By doing this, T-Mobile branded itself as the “un-carrier” in order to distinguish the company from other popular service providers such as AT&T and Verizon. T-Mobile originally wanted to launch these plans in six to nine months, but that timeline was moved up in January, and as of yet, no official date has been announced as to when T-Mobile will set these propositions into effect.

Lastly, T-Mobile’s advertising is also rumored to start changing. For one, the company’s current “4G” campaign could change to a “dual 4G” campaign as it creates LTE networks in addition to HSPA+. All of this information still hasn’t been officially confirmed, but if it’s correct, T-Mobile should be announcing it in the near future.
